Konkani Mirror is the brainchild of Sadananda D Nayak, 45, a enthusiastic, ambitious and proven leader of  Rajapur Saraswat community . Popularly known as 'Kacheri',  he was born in Karkala in Udupi district. Mother Sharada D Nayak and father Late Devanna C. Nayak, wife Sandhya S. Nayak and only son Ameya S. Nayak.

It was his dream to have a website which could be a 'mirror' to the Rajapur Saraswat community and thus Konkani Mirror forayed in to the web world.

The website carries news of the Rajapur Saraswat community and web version of the multi-lingual quarterly magazine `Konkani Mirror', for the benefit of online readers. 

Sadananda D Nayak completed his graduation from Shri Bhuvanendra College, Karkala and then proceeded to do Government Diploma in Co-Operation & Accountancy, Pune.


In 1999 he was elected as a chairman of R S Co-operative Bank Ltd, Mumbai, a brain chaild of Rajapur Saraswat Sangh Mumbai. This was a turning point not just for him but for the Bank also. The Bank saw steady growth in his resourceful and able hands, and has been winning the Best Bank Award in the last six years from Banking Associations and Federations in Mumbai and Maharashtra also appreciations from RBI with placing the Bank in Grade I.

In recognition of his achievements, he was honoured with the an award from the Indian Achievers' Forum, New Delhi and International Integration and Growth Society of India, New Delhi, for excellence in banking. He is also the recepient of Maharshtra Gaurav Award 2004 and Maharashtra Bhushan Award 2005 and also honoured almost all the community organisations as well as other community organisations in Mumbai. His interviews appeared in leading kannada newspapers like Udayavani and Karnataka Malla.

He has the distinction of organizing two All India Saraswat Conventions in 2003 and 2004.


He is a president of Rajapur Saraswat Sangh Mumbai.
